I'm now really building up a collection of ATC'S the ones I have recieved are amazing, really and truly breathtaking.
Also, the ones that I am making are also improving. Here are some of the ones I have recently made using my Dad's birthday cards and adding bits on to make them 3D or stand out.
Just a selection. I personally like the car one (TL) because it's abstract and is really cool. The other one I like is the bear one (BR)!
Just a personal note really.

I have to be up in 6hours to get ready for the 9am pick up of the bantams! :D Fun, Fun, Fun. Never mind that, my Dad is working nights, and we are going straight there when he gets in!
Anyway, I made myself a promise that I couldn't make anymore ATC's until I'd done some more of my Maths coursework! I had a huge idea for one of the swaps (My favourite colours) and I got it from my Dad's wrapping paper lol.
So I did a scatter graph and then put the coursework to one side and oui voila..
Say Hello to "The Colour Bear"
Sorry about the scan, he was put in wonky!
I was going to write on the back "I couldn't make my mind up" but I decided against that. Lol.
My Dad had screwed up the wrapping paper, and put it in the paper bin and as I walked out the room it caught a glimpse in the corner of my eye. I then took it out of the bin, and Ironed it to get a flat piece of paper. Obviously some of the crinkles won't come out, but it looks good like that.
What do you all think?

I've just spent 2 hours pottering in my Grandad's garden. I went a biy OTT with seeds to pot ratio. In one pot of Iceberg lettuce, I had 26 seedlings!
My Grandad has invested alot of money into my fruit and vegetable growing. Today he bought me some seed trays. I transferred across 28 letuce seedling, 24 white cabbage seedlings and 24 Violet Queen cauliflower seedlings. I have plenty of surplus. They are strong seedling, I could probably send you some in the post if you like. Overnight Delivery. I wouldn't want to see them go to waste.
Before all of the pottering, I decided to do the weekly chooks clean a little bit early, they love free-ranging, and they love fresh straw. It was something that was no trouble, often the regular cleaning out of chickens will put off many potential chicken owners, but with an eglu (www.omlet.co.uk) it takes no more than 5minutes to maintain a hygenic living area for your chickens. Once amonth, set yourself a 20minute slot during the weekend and hose down the eglu shell and give the roosting bars a scrub. It really is simple. It costs about £1 a month to feed 2 chickens or 3 bantams, and in return you can have in excess of 30 eggs! It really is simple.
Well it was a lovely sunny day, so I washed the whole eglu as it wasn't going to take long to dry.
Infact, we've had another 2 egg day. I think it's our 28th in 29 days! :D I'm chuffed with them. I've just sold a box of eggs to my Grandparents who popped into see my Dad before his birthday, however they went over to see him at the same time :D Oh deer!
My Grandma is a very crafty person and she wants to get involved with the ATC's after I had explained everything to her, about how individual swaps work! She should be on that forum very soon! :D
Also... Bantams are being picked up at 9am Friday morning!

When you are my age. (15) You always seem to be excited about getting post in the morning. I don't know why, seeing your parents open at least 2 pieces of mail everyday, makes you a bit jealous. Everybody would love to wake up to a surprise, not a nasty one like the telephone bill, but a good one. Maybe it's a parcel, gift, or invitation. To open a bit of post in the morning, it makes you feel more grown up. As I get older, I'm getting more and more post, alot of it is useless. So it's always nice to get something a little bit special. Alike Lottie's ATC's yesterday and Rhea's today.
It's a lovely ATC, when I saw it, I straight away asked for it. Even though at that time I hadn't made a single ATC. I like recieveing these little surprises in the post, long may that continue.
Isn't he lovely? The scan does no justice. He's a really cheerful chap in real life. Quite a charachter.
With the sun emblazoning on my back through the window, it looks like it's going to be a nice day. I'll let you know what happens, a little bit later.
Thanks for the early visit,
Martin
ATC. What do those 3 letters mean to you? Well these 3 letter now mean to me Artist Trading Cards!
I have been reading the adventures of Lottie the allotment lady on her blog, ( www.kooringa.com ) and she started to make these cards, and I've been reading all about them and was inspired how such wonderful pieces of art could be put onto such a small piece of card. I joined the ATC forum and I'm now hooked. I've joined so many swaps that I'm forgetting who is awaiting my cards and who already has them! I have a list with all the organised swaps, but I've forgotten who needs individual swaps. Doh! I know that I've sent Lottie's cards! :D
Today I recieved my first set of swaps. They were from Lottie! She has sent me a lovely card with a bird and elephant on the front. She also sent me another as a gift. It depicts the Statue of Liberty a ferry boat, and it's such a lovely card.
I've taken the picture of the Bird and Elephant from her gallery, but I could not find the picture of the New York card on there.
If you ever want to know more details about ATC's or fancy a new hobbie. Just let me know and I'll point you in the right direction!
